In July 2007 Fraport Twin Star Airport Management has been certified for all its activities in Central Office, Burgas and Varna airports according to the standard EN ISO 9001:2000 by TUV Austria.
Fraport Group performs annual audits to assess the compliance of the system for quality management with the requirements of the certificate. External audits by TUV Austria and by the airlines performing flights to Varna and Burgas airports assure as well the compliance with the highest service standards.

 

 
 
As a result of a clear program of investment and development and the achievements within the short period since the start of the concession, Fraport Twin Star Airport Management received from the State Agency for Investment Certificates for First Class Investor for the projects to expand and modernize the airports in Varna and Burgas.
 
 
 
New equipment for ground-handling services, thanks to which was achieved a significant increase in the speed and efficiency in servicing aircraft was delivered to both marine airports. By the end of the second year of entry into force of the concession agreement, the company invested in new equipment twice as much as the commitment in the contract.
 
Summer arrivals and departures terminal was inaugurated on June 18 2007 at the airport of Varna. "We would like to thank the concessionaires for strictly fulfilling the commitments." said at the opening of the building the Transport Minister Petar Mutafchiev.
 
New terminal for departing passengers opened its gates on 29.06.2007 at Burgas airport in compliance with the performance of the investment program for immediate service improvements of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management.
 

 

 

On November 10, 2006 with celebrations at the airports of Varna and Burgas, Fraport Twin Star Airport Management officially marked the entering into force of the concession agreement for the seaside airports of Bulgaria. From that date, the German-Bulgarian consortium assumed responsibility for the personnel, assets and future development of Varna and Burgas airports.

 

On September 10, 2006 in Sofia, the Minister of Transport Petar Mutafchiev, Andreas Helfer - CEO of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD and Tihomir Trifonov – Managing Director of the company, signed a contract granting concession to the civil airports of Burgas Varna for a period of 35 years.
