Sports tournament
Sports matches between the teams of the international airports in Bulgaria have been held for years. They started somewhere in the 80s of 20th century. For a certain period of time the traditional sports tournament was suspended, and in 2004 it was restored. Fraport Twin Star Airport Management PLC continues the tradition for organising sports matches between the teams of the airports in Bulgaria. This year Varna was host for the second time.
The traditional sports tournament is very popular with the employees of the international airports. Regardless of the final position of the teams, the most important thing is the good mood, the teamwork of the participants and the opportunity to establish good friendships among the colleagues from the airports.
Fraport Twin Star hosted the traditional annual sports tournament of the towns. This time the organiser was Varna Airport. The spring issue of the tournament was held on May 16th, 2009 in the Varna Technical University sports facility. The sports event was attended by the airports in Varna, Bourgas, Plovdiv and Sofia. The teams measured their strength against each other in the disciplines football and volleyball.
