Fraport Twin Star Airport Management took part in the online press conference “Bulgaria - Popular Travel Destinations with no Travel Warning / Autumn Specials and New Flight Connections / Travel Offers 2021” focused on promoting tourism in Bulgaria in the fall season.

The two representatives of the company, CEO Dr. Frank Quante and Medical Services Manager, Dr. Artyun Magardichyan spoke about the vast measures that the two airports are implementing in order to be recognized the safest airports, offering a high degree of comfort, cleanliness, and security for all passengers and airport guests. 

 

“The airports of Fraport Twin Star in Varna and Burgas are places where we promote safe international travel, meeting all requirements in parallel of those throughout Bulgaria, as a safe and secure travel destination,” said the CEO in addition to Dr. Magardichyan’s claim that Bulgaria’s disease prevalence rate is the same as in Germany, a reassurance of the stable situation in the country. 


Organized by the German Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce & Industry in time for the start of the fall season, the webinar aimed to showcase the wide range of attractive tourism possibilities available upcoming fall holiday season. 

Destination Bulgaria was presented before a large circle of German media representatives, who received an earful of positive, heartfelt reasons to choose Bulgaria as their next vacation spot. 


Through an official address by the Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria and Minister of Tourism Mariyana Nikolova and Dr. Mitko Vasilev from the GBCCI and representatives of prominent tour operators in Germany showcased the full rest and recreation potential in the country, highlighting the wide range of possibilities for spa & wellness, balneo, cultural, event, and medical tourism. 


Speaking of the connectivity of Varna airport to seven airports in Germany in the winter 2020/2021 season starting at the end of October, Dr. Quante listed the 7 destinations planned to be operated: Hamburg, Berlin, Dortmund, Cologne, Frankfurt-Hahn, Nuremberg, and Memmingen at attractive and affordable prices starting from €29 per one-way ticket, while ticket prices for German destinations in 2021 currently start at €15.

Dr. Magardichyan discussed the topic of the high-level of COVID-19 safety and prevention measures implemented at both Varna and Burgas airports, as well as the general positive position of Bulgaria in terms of COVID-19 safety and low rate of prevalence.
