Fraport Twin Star Organized events for the tourism industry in Varna and Burgas

After a one-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, Fraport Twin Star organized the long-awaited events for the tourism business on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. The events took place on two consecutive days - on April 19th at the “International” Hotel in the Golden Sands resort, and on April 20th at the “Bulgaria” Hotel in Burgas.  

The events were expected with great interest and were attended by more than 150 representatives of the tourism industry - hoteliers and tour operators, as well as representatives of the local authorities from the Municipality of Varna and the Municipality Burgas.  

The CEO of Fraport Twin Star - Dr. Frank Quante, pointed out that the two Black Sea airports - Varna Airport and Burgas Airport - are entirely ready for the summer season 2022. Denitsa Milosavljevic, Head of Aviation Marketing Department, and Radostina Zlateva, Aviation Marketing, and Route Development Expert, shared their expectations for the traffic at the two airports at the moment and presented the new routes and airlines for Summer 2022.  

Special discussion panels were organized for each of the two events, and the most important topics of common interest for all of the participants – the challenges related to the preparation for the summer season and the opportunities for the tourism industry in Varna and Burgas. All participants agreed that a close collaboration between the private sector and the Ministry of Tourism is highly necessary to achieve the best for the Summer Season. All private players mentioned their willingness to support the Ministry wherever possible!
