The rehabilitation works at Burgas Airport are moving strong

The apron extension and rehabilitation works of Lots A & B of the Master Plan at Burgas Airport are moving strong.

The construction works related to the rehabilitation of approximately 51,000 m2 of apron area are proceeding at a fast pace and are being executed well ahead of plan.

Old concrete surfaces are being excavated in order make way for the paving of new layers.

The construction activities are part of an investment plan with a total value of EUR 7.63 million, aimed to improve the security of aircraft landings and take-offs, optimize aircraft movements on the apron, as well as provide the ability to accommodate additional large aircraft type code “C”.

The vast 4-year construction project is planned to be completed in 2022.
