Fraport Twin Star the operator of the two Black Sea coast airports

Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD is a German-Bulgarian company - a concessioner  of Burgas (BOJ) and Varna (VAR) airports. In the joint company, Fraport AG holds a majority 60-percent share. The company is responsible for operation, management, and development the two airports – 24-hour gateways to the Black Sea: Varna Airport serving the Northeast, and Burgas Airport - the Southeast of Bulgaria. Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD’s tasks include  employee training and upskilling, enhancing service quality and the overall passenger experience, upgrading airport equipment and introduction of new technologies, along with infrastructure expansion and modernization.  

Together, VAR and BOJ welcomed more than 3,4 million passengers last year and handled more than 25,000 flights of 73 Bulgarian and foreign airlines operating charter and scheduled flights to more than 146 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.
