Health Accreditation

Fraport Twin Star is pleased to announce that Burgas and Varna Airports have been accredited by the Airport Council International (ACI) - World Public Health and Safety Readiness Accreditation Program.

This program is dedicated to ensure the safety of all passengers, visitors, employees and stakeholders, hygiene and business readiness and demonstrate the airports ability to implement effective day-to-day operational protocols regarding health management.

The accreditation is valid for 3 years and show that Burgas and Varna Airports provide effective public health management measures and have a planning strategy for future, potentially disruptive health events.

The program is based on International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) guidelines, World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations and ACI best practices that have developed globally since the Covid-19 pandemic. Varna and Burgas are the first airports in Bulgaria received this accreditation.

This recognition further confirms our commitment to prioritize public health and safety measures at both Black Sea airports.
