Fraport Twin Star Airport Management
A meeting between the Management body of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD, headed by CEO Dr. Frank Quante and the Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Tourism Mariyana Nikolova was held at Varna Airport.
The meeting was also attended by Stoyan Passev, Varna District Governor and Ivan Portnih, Mayor of Varna.
Quante expressed his gratefulness for the close co-operation between the institutions regarding the COVID-19 management in the field of tourism.
The two sides discussed the importance in good cooperation, the development and implementation of measures and policies that will ensure the best accessibility and availability of excellent transport connections, so that Bulgaria remains a preferred tourist destination.
Also discussed were the efforts invested in managing the COVID-19 crisis in the sector, as well as those directed to attaining a higher tourist flow into the country.
"There is a lot of work to be done for the upcoming summer season and today, we exchanged information with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, how we can do this better, in cooperation together, and how to speed up the process of facilitating the arrival of Russian and British tourists after Brexit on the Black Sea coast,” said Frank Quante.
The Minister and her delegation received a guided tour of the COVID-safe Airport facilities in Varna, as well as a sneak peek at the laboratory facility that will be opened to perform COVID-19 tests at the Airport very soon.
