The Chief Executive Officer of Fraport Bulgaria - Dr Frank Quante, has been awarded as Person of the Year in Tourism by the national information agency Bgtourism.bg and by Destinations-ultimate guide for your holiday magazine during the II Annual Tourism Awards.

The prestigious award was handed over today personally by Ruslan Yordanov, Manager of Royal Communication and Bgtourism.bg information agency.

This is the first time a foreigner has been named as Person of the Year in Tourism in Bulgaria. The motives of the award organizers according to the official appraisal are:  „Dr Frank Quante’s professionalism, energy and motivation to develop not only our airports but also our country as a destination by founding Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance, which is an example for many Bulgarians, who are engaged in tourism”.

“I am honoured by this award. I would like to dedicate it to all employees of Fraport Bulgaria, who with their devoted work during this difficult pandemic period preserved the viability of Varna Airport and Burgas Airport, working tirelessly to serve our passengers and further develop our airports towards a successful future. Also, this award is for all our partners in Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance, with whose joint efforts we try to develop the enormous touristic potential of Bulgaria" said Dr Quante, receiving the prestigious award.
