August 10 was the day we all have been looking forward to at Burgas Airport since the COVID pandemic started more than two years ago - the welcoming of  1  000  000th passenger for 2022 at the "Airport of Roses"!

Carly Fitzpatrick, who had a birthday on this day, arrived together with her family at 12:35 pm with a flight full of passengers from Manchester on airline Jet2.com & Jet2holidays and was surprised with special gifts that will leave her with a a special memory of this exciting moment - a blue-coloured passenger suitcase and an individual VIP voucher to use at the "Sunniest Airport on the Black Sea".

All the other 232 passengers and the crew were surprised with treats specially made for the occasion, lots of balloons and colourful mood on the apron.

As a positive sign for the traffic and tourism recovery, we celebrated the welcoming of our one-millionth passenger at the beginning of August for the first time since 2019!

We wished Carly Fitzpatrick and her family many more joyful occasions to come back to our Southern Black Sea Coast in the future!
