With more routes and also overall more flights than the pre-pandemic year of 2019, Varna Airport, part of Fraport Twin Star, will start operating its winter schedule effectively from 30 October 2022.

18 attractive destinations in 9 countries will be offered to all its passengers by the Varna Airport, which reinforces the positive trend for the continuous expansion of connectivity options and enrichment of its portfolio. Amongst them are:

  • 8 routes to Germany (Baden-Baden, Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund, Frankfurt Hahn, Hamburg, Memmingen, and Nuremberg) operated by Wizz Air;
  • London Luton and Liverpool, United Kingdom, also operated by Wizz Air;
  • Charleroi, Belgium, operated by Wizz Air;
  • Larnaca, Cyprus, operated by Wizz Air;
  • Daily flights to the Austrian capital Vienna, which will be operated by 3 airlines (Austrian Airlines, Wizz Air, Ryanair);

  • Istanbul, Turkey, operated by Turkish Airlines;
  • Eindhoven, Netherlands operated by Wizz Air;
  • Tel Aviv, Israel, which is operated by two airlines - Wizz Air and Israir Airlines;
  • And, of course, the regular flights to our capital Sofia, operated by the national carrier Bulgaria Air.

With the new winter schedule of Varna Airport, our sea capital makes a serious step to becoming a "4-season destination", thanks to the 8 different routes from/to Germany, as well as the flights from/to Tel Aviv, which offer the opportunity to traveling of foreign tourists even out of the summer season.

The highlights are the flights to Sofia (daily), Istanbul (4 times a week), and Vienna (4 times a week with Austrian Airlines), which provide to all guests and residents of Varna the opportunity to make connections to many destinations around the world.
