Top journalists on a tour of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast

Three groups of journalists and influencers from Germany and the Scandinavian countries were welcomed at Varna and Burgas airports.

In the middle of September, the Northern and Southern Black Sea coasts in Bulgaria became a center of attraction for some of the most influential journalists in the field of tourism from Germany and the Scandinavian countries.

Three groups of top journalists and influencers are in our country with the aim of promoting Bulgaria as an attractive sea destination among the key markets for inbound tourism such as: Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.

At the invitation of the Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance, in the period from September 8th to 14th, a group of 9 representatives of the biggest tourist media in Germany are on a tour of our largest Black Sea resorts and sights along our Northern and Southern Black Sea coasts. The purpose of their trip is to familiarize themselves with the variety of opportunities for a full-fledged vacation in Bulgaria, as well as to get direct impressions of the quality of the tourist service offered in our resorts. This initiative aims to improve the image of Bulgaria as a tourist destination, as well as to help reposition our Black Sea coast as a safe, accessible, secure, and attractive sea destination. The visit is a continuation of the promotional tour that was organized in Germany in February with great success. The initiative was also supported by WizzAir, who provided tickets on the Berlin-Varna route, which will also be operated in the coming winter season.

The second group of visitors is composed of 15 travel agents from the city of Erfurt, Germany, who in the period from September 11 to 14 will visit selected hotels in our resorts: Nessebar, Obzor, and Golden Sands, and will have the exclusive opportunity to personally familiar themselves with the product and the quality of the tourist services offered there. Upon arrival, the group was greeted by representatives of "Fraport Twin Star Airport Management" AD at Burgas Airport with symbolic souvenirs and received information about the airport and the entire Black Sea region. The tour is on the initiative of Erfurt Airport, from where there are direct charter flights to Burgas Airport during the summer season.

From September 11th to 18th, on the initiative of "Albena" AD, together with one of the biggest tour operators on the Scandinavian market - Nordic Leisure Travel Group, as well as with Sunclass Airlines, which operates charter flights from Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Sweden to Varna during the summer season, a group of 5 journalists, representatives of the tour operator and the airline will get to know the treasures of the Northern Black Sea.

"Fraport Twin Star Airport Management" AD successfully partners with all participants of the ecosystem in the field of tourism, including hoteliers, tour operators, airlines, and airports, continuing to actively promote the Bulgarian Black Sea coast in the key markets for inbound tourism!  Dr. Frank Quante, CEO of Fraport Bulgaria and Chairman of the Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance: “I welcome this marketing measures very much and I am thankful for all supporters, especially Albena, Melia Hotels, but also from Varna Municipality, Balchik, Nessebar, Santa Marina resort and St. St. Constantine and Elena, who made this trip possible! In my meeting with the journalists, we got very positive feedback and this should result in very positive reporting in the media!”
