At least 19 projects are applying under the new Program for financing marketing activities of tourist services in the Black Sea municipalities in Bulgaria

The record number of public-private partnerships aims to implement marketing campaigns in 14 countries - key markets for the Bulgarian tourism

Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD collaborated with 16 foreign tour operators, 10 municipalities and a number of tour operators in Bulgaria to apply for the Program for Financing of Marketing Activities activities of tourist services in the Black Sea municipalities in Bulgaria, launched by the Minister of Tourism - Mrs. Zaritsa Dinkova.

At least 19 projects were submitted, this means 19 public private partnerships were founded and submitted their applications for approval to the Ministry of Tourism within the deadline of 27 November.

The 19 public-private partnerships were created between the participating Black Sea municipalities: Aksakovo, Balchik, Burgas, Byala, Varna, Valchi Dol, Dolni Chiflik, Dulgopol, Malko Tarnovo, Nessebar, Pomorie, Primorsko, Tsarevo and Shabla, the airport operator of the two Black Sea airports in Varna and Burgas - "Fraport Twin Star Airport Management" AD and 16 of the largest foreign tour operators working in key markets. The planned activities include the implementation of large-scale marketing campaigns covering 14 countries - incoming markets for Bulgarian tourism, including: Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Belgium, the Netherlands, the Scandinavian countries, Austria, Spain, France, etc. The marketing activities proposed to the Ministry of Tourism are customized to the different national markets and include TV spots, Radio, billboards, public transport, mailings, catalogs, social media, special sales weeks, and other marketing tools.

What makes the number of projects even more impressive is that they were prepared and submitted in record time, in the midst of the industry's intense end-of-year period, which is indicative of the serious interest among the like-minded professional community that this program is a long-awaited step in the right direction for the development of tourism in the country.

"For the program to work, we had to restore the trust of our foreign partners - both political and business. I held a series of meetings at the international level - with the ambassadors of the EU Member States and the Common European Economic Area, meetings during exhibitions with my colleagues at the political level. It was the way to support the business in front of its partners. The result was not too late - we have a total of 21 projects that will radically change the way Bulgaria presents itself abroad", stated Mrs. Zaritsa Dinkova, Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria.

"We collaborated with 19 tour operators of different countries and all of them appreciated very much the Program initiated by the Minister of Tourism. There is a big need of a better marketing of Bulgaria as a tourist destination, this is a shared view of all partners we worked with. The collaboration between the municipalities of the Black Sea, the tour operators from our source countries and Fraport Bulgaria went very well, thank you to all who worked intensely to grow the tourism in Bulgaria!", shared Dr. Frank Quante, CEO of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD and Chairman of the Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance  The participants in public-private partnerships in all 21 projects:
