The First Charter Route from Chisinau in the Varna Airport’s History Is Now a Fact

SkyUp Airlines Connects Moldova with the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast

With the beginning of the 2025 summer season, Varna Airport welcomes another new destination – for the first time in the airport’s history, a charter route between the Moldovan capital Chisinau and Varna has been launched. The flights are operated by SkyUp Airlines, commissioned by the leading Bulgarian tour operator Noy Travel.

The flights will operate every Saturday starting from 7 June 2025, following the route: Chisinau (RMO) – Varna (VAR) – Chisinau (RMO).

“In addition to the growth of the traditional tourist market, it is very important to access new markets and new opportunities. We are all excited to welcome the guests from Moldova and wish all the business partners involved success so we can grow this connection in 2026!”, said Dr. Frank Quante, CEO of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD.

SkyUp operates  a hybrid business model that includes both scheduled and charter flights, enabling the airline to respond flexibly to market dynamics and partner needs. In line with this approach, we are actively developing partnerships with leading European tour operators. The new collaboration with Noy Travel marks  a significant step forward  in strengthening SkyUp’s presence  in the European leisure travel market,” says Larysa Fedun, Head of Charter  at SkyUp Airlines.

It is worth noting that SkyUp Airlines already operates flights from Burgas Airport to Poland, including: a new regular service to Katowice, operating every Thursday, as well as charter flights to Warsaw and Poznan.

The expansion of SkyUp Airlines’ route network opens new opportunities for tourism, business, and cultural exchange between Bulgaria, Moldova, and Poland.
