“Leading Fraport Twin Star has been an exceptional journey, marked by collaboration, progress, and shared achievements,” said Dr. Frank Quante. “I am grateful for the dedication of our team, the trust of our partners, and the opportunity to contribute to the growth of Bulgaria’s Black Sea airports.Thank you to everyone who supported Fraport Twin Star and me personally in the last years! I leave very confident in the company’s future under Michael Reusch’s capable and visionary leadership.”
With a career spanning over two decades since joining Fraport in 2003, Michael Reusch has played a key role in managing global airport transactions and investments across various continents. In addition to his work as a board member of several Fraport AG’s affiliates, he was in charge of Fraport AG’s asset management activities in North America and Asia as part of the company's International Activities & Services division in Germany.
Most recently, Michael Reusch led a major €2.5 billion long-term financing project to support Fraport’s investment in Antalya Airport, Türkiye. As a long-standing Supervisory Board member of Fraport Twin Star, he brings strong familiarity with the company’s achievements, strategic direction, and local context. The leadership transition comes at a pivotal moment for Fraport Twin Star, as the company advances major infrastructure and development projects, including the upcoming runway rehabilitation at Burgas Airport, which represents a significant investment in operational safety and long-term capacity, as well as continued terminal improvements and sustainability-driven initiatives at both airports. These efforts reflect Fraport AG’s commitment to maintaining world-class standards while supporting Bulgaria’s role as a key tourism and logistics hub.
