Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Bulgaria Mr. Grozdan Karadjov visited Varna Airport, where he was personally welcomed by Mr. Michael Reusch, CEO of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD, and Mr. Dimitar Kostadinov, Director of Varna Airport.

During the visit, Minister Karadjov was briefed on the investments made so far by the airport concessionaire at Varna and Burgas airports, aimed at improving infrastructure, passenger experience, and the sustainable development of Bulgaria’s coastal gateways.

The Minister also toured the newly developed passenger areas, including the innovative Gate Garden zone – a unique to Europe, modern, and green space that combines comfort, functionality, and contemporary design for travelers’ convenience.

The Minister applauded the new outdoor spaces for boosting passenger comfort and creating natural, welcoming environments, emphasizing that exceptional passenger experience is key to modern travel. He added that Varna Airport is well-positioned to accommodate future air traffic growth.
